Square Enix have announced that their mobile RPG entry in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest of the Stars (known as Hoshi no Dragon Quest in Japan) has clocked 12 million downloads within it’s first year of release. Square Enix will be celebrating this occasion in a weeklong event. Firstly, all players will recieve the opportunity to take on a “Presnet Quest” where they can try to get loads of rewards, however this can only be attempted once. There were also be other campaigns, including a lottery.

Dragon Quest of the Stars is now available on iOS and Android in Japan.
