Spikechunsoft has posted an official launch for the upcoming Comcept developed platformer Mighty No. 9.

Spikechunsoft will be publishing Mighty No. 9 for Japan. The trailer shows off more skills and modes that are featured through out the game. Although, it seems to be narrated by the same voice of the previously criticized trailer from Western publisher Deep Silver. This time however, the trailer focuses on less explosions and insults and shows off what players will be able to do during the games many different modes. The trailer also references the word “fun” several time.

You can watch the trailer below:

Mighty No. 9 is coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC on June 21 in NA and Japan, and June 24 in EU.

Worse than just saying “fun” a lot. It outright says it’s a game that wants to be fun. Not that it is but that wants to be fun. It wants to be fun, it wants to be challenging, it wants to be replayable. It has no confidence that it is
That’s a pretty big fucking warning sign when even the trailer is like “Yeah, sorry this game is going to suck. Nobody wanted it to end like this, but it has.”

    • azariosays

You’re right. Why do I still want to play it though? it’s like i want this to be a new mega man or something. Have I been reduced to a “take what you can get, gamer?”

    • Landale

I wouldn’t necessarily say that you’ve been reduced to anything. Having hopes for something is fine, and you know you better than anyone else. If you find it fun, you find it fun, potential problems other people have be damned.

    • azariosays

      awh, you’re a good commenter!

    • Mr0303

Hi, Azario. I’m a backer of this train wreck and I don’t plan to play the game. Do you want a review copy of MN9 for the site? I can provide the code once I get it.

    • azariosays

Haha, i believe we have one 😛 Thank you <3

    • Josh S.

We have more than one actually haha. I’m the one subjecting myself to it, so we’ll see how this review goes. Trying to go in without any bias.

  • Didney Worl

So far it’s been getting mediocre reviews. Can’t say I’m surprised.

  • Mr0303

The trailer is still cringy as hell, but at least they removed the stupid prom night “joke”. I can’t wait for this game to be out so that we never hear about it again.

  • Panpopo

Looking forward to finally playing this tomorrow!

Finally an optimist! I see way too much negativity about this game online. I hope it’s not all accurate.
