Akiba’s Beat is coming to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita as the spiritual successor to Akiba’s Trip II: Undead and Undressed.

Aquire has released new screen shots and details about the game-via dengeki.


Like before the game is set in a fictional, but real life city of Akihabara. A known location to host otakus from around the world. However, delusions of what reality should be have distorted the city to repeat every Sunday.


  • Pink-Cloaked Man


The Pink-Cloaked Man is a recurring character through out the main story. It is said that he is actually involved in some of the strange happenings.

  • Asahi Tachibana

A 19 year old otaku and the protagonist of the game. he’s a college dropout who enjoys everything that Akihabara has to offer.

  • Saki Hoshino

An 18 year old girl that is new to the area. She also is the owner of Pinkun.

  • Pinkun

A familar who works with Saki to rid the world of delusions.

  • Riyu Momose

a 14 year old idol who goes by the stage new Rippyon. She is very popular around Akihabara, but also get stuck in the delusion.

  • Yamato Hungo

a 16 year old high school boy who looks very young. He’s extremely cool and shows no interest in the Akihabara life-style.


The dungeons in Akiba’s Beat are named “Delusion Palaces”. Players will encounter these dungeons through out the game.


Players will encounter various monster while inside the delusion palaces. They will have to equip headphones in order to defeat the enemy.

Akiba’s Beat is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Fall in Japan and this Winter in North America.
