In a corporate press release, Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that sales of PlayStation 4 console units have gone over 40 million worldwide. PS4 software has also done pretty well, with sales of games topping over 270.9 million copies as of May 22. The PlayStation 4’s biggest release so far this year, Uncharted 4, managed to sell 2.7 million copies in just a week. Sony also appears to be counting on big titles like Final Fantasy XV, Nioh, Ryu ga Gotoku 6 (Yakuza 6), Gravity Rush, The Last Guardian, and Gran Turismo 6 to help further drive PlayStation 4 software sales in the future.
