While Inti Creates will be hosting a livestream for Mighty No. 9 on May 27. Deep Silver has gone ahead and posted a new trailer for Mighty No. 9 titled “Masterclass”.

The trailer shows off the character dash ability, as well as, racking up combos for defeating enemies. Additionally, the trailer seems to play out like a Micheal Bay film, being narrated through out by a “hip” voice and explosions every scene. Along with various platform mechanics, you can watch the trailer below:

Mighty No. 9 will be coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo Wii U, and PC on June 21, 2016 in North America and in Europe on June 24, 2016. The Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita version have not received a release date yet.

    >make an animated series based on Mighty No 9
    >mock anime fans

What? Didn’t they think there will be some overlap between Megaman and anime fans? Seriously it seems that every step of this project has been a disaster, including the marketing.

    • KissDisqus

Good lord the narration was garbage but what’s with all this butthurt in the comments sections everywhere about that one fucking line.
It was an innocuous joke. There’s plenty of other reasons to hate on Mighty 9.

    • Mr0303

I imagine that this line was a final drop. It clearly shows that they know nothing about their target audience.

  • JGuill

I’m an anime fan and there were no tears during prom night for me! It was actually an incredibly fun and memorable night! Does that make me a unicorn?

    • Mr0303

That makes you a normal person. Being a fan of anime doesn’t have a correlation to being antisocial in the same way being an avid book reader doesn’t turn you into a shut it.

The trailer is just trying to build some strawmen. A trailer for a Japanese game nonetheless. This may be Inafune’s dislike for all things Japanese leaking into the marketing.

    • Panpopo

Nope! I imagine prom night was similar to just about everyone at that point in their lives, regardless of tastes or whatever.

Anyway, the game is finally coming out! I hope that backers and Mega Man fans try to have fun with it.
