Long time veterans in the visual novel scene, MangaGamer and JAST USA, has announced that they will enter a partnership with Nutaku.

Nutaku, a digital storefront for erotic titles, will be partnering up with ManaGamer, JAST USA and Dharker Studio to host each of these publishers titles beginning on May 17.

Robert Mann, a Nutaku spokesman states this about the partnership:

We’re excited to partner with the creators and distributors of the world’s best adult games. The Nutaku store will expose our thirteen million monthly visitors to entertaining, engaging, and professionally-animated hentai games that were previously unavailable to them without mosaics or uncensoring patches. We’re also offering developers an opportunity to reach targeted new audiences like never before.

Now eroge fans will have a one-stop-shop for all their favorite titles.

  • Creating a Steam of eroge titles is pretty ambitious, wonder how this will do?

    • KissDisqus

It’s a great idea but I have to wonder what kind of games nutaku will allow considering the hubbub over their edits(even if they did revert changes back to the original art after backlash). If you look at mangagamer and JAST’s catalog there are a couple of games that would be deemed extreme. Possibility of cutting content to have it hosted on nutaku’s website worries me.(JAST did release a patch for Starless but who knows if other localizers will do the same).

    • Hmm…those are some legitimate points/concerns, but to be honest, I think the JAST approach of offering patches could work here.

    • Lance Grabow

there was an indie version of it that recently had to shut down so the only and another app version i can think of. those didn’t work out so well because people would rather pay more for generic vanilla eroge than an indie title with passion behind it so this project can honestly go either way

    • Yeah anything is possible!

I only hope that they become popular enough that catches steam’s eyes and improves the way they sell eroge..

    • Agreed, competition is always good.

especially in a niche market like eroge. Man, I just wish one VN gets popular as dark souls 1 did, and more people become aware of the greatness of VNs and eroge
