Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X Logo

Today via press release SEGA has announced that Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X will be launching in North America on August 30, 2016. The game will be releasing on both the PlayStation 4 and Vita consoles. The Pre-Order and Day One Editions will include a special Hatsune Miku pouch, adorned with the symbols of the five new auras that are central to its new style of gameplay. You can check out a pic of the pouch below

Here is more information about the game straight from the press release:

InĀ Project DIVA X, players help Miku and her friends sing and dance their way through five Clouds that comprise their world! Each Cloud has its own unique aura — Classic, Cool, Cute, Elegant, and Quirky — that will offer different challenges for players to fulfill. Moreover, the auras of the 30 new and classic songs they perform, and the nearly 300 modules (costumes) they’ll wear, will have an important impact on the many different challenges.
There’s also a new Concert Editor feature, which allows players to take on the role of producer by customizing their own shows with unlocked songs, modules, and accessories! And just as was announced for the Japanese version, the Concert Editor’s Live View mode will support PlayStation VR! Support will be enabled after the launch of PSVR as a free digital update.
In between bouts of intense rhythm gameplay fueled entirely by the creative, collaborative Miku community, players can interact with Miku and her friends and forge relationships!
The game retails for $49.99 on the PlayStation 4 and $39.99 on the PlayStation Vita. Let us know in the comments below if you plan on Pre-Ordering a copy.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

    the moment I can, preordering….

  • NegativeZero

Not as interested as I should be. The change to concert-style videos instead of the music video style of the previous games is a shame, plus the song lineup looks to be nowhere near as strong as F 2nd was. But I’ll still be buying it.

Hopefully they confirm Future Tone for PS4 soon too. Or at least, before the Japanese release so I don’t have to track down Japanese PSN point cards.

  • Panpopo

Yes, as soon as the preorders go up I am grabbing one! I like the pricing too!

  • KissDisqus

Wuh vocaloid shenanigans are still going on?!

  • Dgnfly

It better not be digital only in europe or else then can count me out of buying this game.
