Bandai Namco have released a new trailer outlining one of the new songs present in their upcoming PS4 exclusive The Idolmaster: Platinum Stars, which is due to release in Japan on July 28th with both standard and limited editions.

Although no gameplay is shown, the graphical improvements are pretty noticeable which is to be expected given the new hardware platform. The song sung is also pretty catchy, and hopefully is representative of the overall quality of the track listing.

You can watch the trailer below.

Currently there is no word on a release outside of Japan, though given recent announcements like Gundam Breaker 3 and Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers, an Asian English release may not be entirely out of the question. I would be interested in giving this title a go if  it gets translated.

About Joseph Puntschart

A university student who loves niche games and desires for them to be more fairly represented in the world. Favourite games include Persona 4 Golden, Super Mario Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II and IA/VT Colorful. Hopes that one day a Japanese publisher will take the risk and make a Yaoi ecchi game. Think Valkyrie Drive with guys and you're on the right lines.

Yeah I’m not sure if this will ever get translated, even when Love Live! was a pretty big success. Would be a day-one buy for me if it ever was. May just have to bite the bullet and pick up the japanese version.

I’m willing to bet you dollars to donuts that there are people out there who legitimately think that Love Live invented idols.

Really? Well all the more reason to bring this game over then 🙂
