Tecmo Koei NX

Koei Tecmo has announced that they have begun development for Nintendo’s upcoming console. However, at the moment there has been no mention about what these projects are. Koei Tecmo has had a few recent releases on Nintendo’s consoles such as Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends for the Wii U and 3DS. Along with Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water for the Wii U, which we have a review for if you’d like to take a look.

About Walter P

Plays too much, but still has too many games to finish. Will play any type of game and will watch anything, so is of course not good at being productive. Loves anything crazy.

What a waste of resources considering its gonna be butchered or altered anyways.

  • Mr0303

Nintendo will need every third party developer they can get to convince people that NX will be a stable system without droughts.

    • Landale

I’m not sure even that would be enough at this point.

  • Zufield

I don’t care if Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and Warriors Orochi become NX exclusives. I still won’t be buying one.

  • Panpopo

I am not surprised because I believe a Warriors Orochi game was a launch title if I remember correctly and Hyrule Warriors was a hit.

There is typically tons of 3rd party developer support when a new system comes out (remember Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U?) due to the excitement of a new system increasing visibility of those games. However, seemingly like every generation after the N64 most people only seem to buy Nintendo systems to play the first party games only – 3rd party seems like an afterthought. Also, even though the Wii was a success, and had a few great 3rd party games, there was a ton of shovelware. It will be interesting to see what happens.

    • Dgnfly

Most likely Nintendo payed Koei Tecmo for releasing games on nintendo NX cause nobody wil commit much to a console that was a failure 2 Gen in a row,
and with that i mean Wii was also a failure regardless of console sales there was little profit for 3rd party Devs on the software side.

And they all will be censored in the west.
