Sound! Euphonium characters

During Saturday’s KyoAni & Do Fan Days 2015, Kyoto Animation announced that their 2015 music anime series Sound! Euphonium will be receiving a movie adaptation and a sequel series.

The movie will be titled Sound! Euphonium the Movie: Welcome to the Kitauji High School Concert Band. It has been announced to be a compilation movie of the first season of the anime. Meanwhile, the new anime series will pick up after the first season left off, continuing the adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s novel series.

The illustrator for the novels, Nikki Asada, also had something to say about the announcements:

Details on the new series are scarce at the moment, but rest assured we will keep you updated as new information is released.
