Dragon Quest Heroes - Featured

Dragon Quest Heroes was a hit for Square Enix in Japan, with the title selling nearly 600,000 copies across multiple platforms at launch. It was the second best selling release for the week of February 26th, 2015 and the most successful that wasn’t part of a bundle. New DLC content for the well received brawler is coming on March 19th, 2015 and it’s absolutely free for everyone.  The new add on is called the ‘God of Destruction and Slaughter battle + Terry Sub-Story’ pack. Check out the trailer at Square Enix’s Japanese youtube channel below.

Gematsu offered this translation of the details originally posted by Games Talk.

Terry Sub-Story

If you clear the “Legendary Wicked Demon” (King Hyrdra) battle, you’ll receive a “Help Please” letter from the post office. Reading it will begin the Terry sub-story.

Gods of Destruction and Slaughter Battle

After clearing the story, you will receive a letter from the post office from Gagora including a “Map of the Destruction God.” From here, a new location will appear on the world map.

Normal Additional Quest

After clearing the story, the new quest “Trial of the Metal Sword” will be added. If you clear the quest, you can get the “Metal King’s Large Sword” weapon, which Psaro can equip.

Other Updates

By talking to a member of the crew at the counter of Luida’s Bar, you’ll be able to view their story clear movie (given that you’ve cleared the game).

Dragon Quest Heroes is available in Japan for the Sony PS4 and PS3 entertainment systems. The game has been confirmed for release in the west but no date has been announced yet.

About Tom Tolios

Really smart, talks too much, loves the video games and the Star Wars and the Game of Thrones, likes the manga and some anime and knows that Kentaro Miura's Berserk is the greatest thing ever made.
