SaGa Teaser

Remember when we mentioned that the creator of the SaGa series, Akitoshi Kawazu, wanted to announce a new game soon? At the time, it was unclear what game he was referring to (after all, he was the creator of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, as well), though it was hinted that it could be a new installment of the SaGa franchise, since Mr. Kawazu’s statement happened close to the SaGa series’ 25th anniversary.

Well, it seems the rumblings could have been accurate. Square Enix has posted a teaser site for SaGa‘s 25th anniversary. The only information on the site is the image above with the date February 19, 2014. We assume this is the date of the full announcement.

I encourage fans not to get too excited just yet—this SaGa teaser could be nothing more than a mobile game (it wouldn’t be the first time Square Enix has hyped a mobile game like this), and Mr. Kawazu’s true project may not be ready to be shown. We’ll have to wait a few days to get the full picture, but we’ll keep you posted.
