Square Enix has announced the release date for the third entry in the Drakengard series, Drakengard 3. It is slated for physical and digital release on May 20th of this year in North America. As for Europe, Square Enix has announced that the game will be sold a day after, on May 21st of this year, but still digital only.
Along with the release date, Square Enix has announced pre-order incentives and a Limited Edition set that is being sold only on their online store that uses Digital River. Here’s the rundown:
Fans who place their pre-order from today through March 3 will receive a special Japanese voiceover DLC and will automatically unlock the two yet-to-be-announced bonuses. From March 4 to April 8, pre-ordering the game will unlock the two remaining unannounced bonuses. From April 9 until launch, fans will receive the final unannounced locked bonus only. However, pre-ordering the game before March 4 will net you all three bonuses.
As for the Collector’s Edition, which like the standard edition is only available on Square Enix’s online store, it is available now for pre-order for $79.99 with only 5,000 copies being produced. The Collector’s Edition will contain:
