Gradius V

A new ESRB rating has been revealed for Gradius V, a 2004 PS2 shoot ’em up game. The platform that is listed is PlayStation 3, which suggests that the game will be re-released as a PlayStation 2 Classic.

Assuming Gradius V will be re-released, this will be the first release for the series in North America since 2008 with Gradius Rebirth on the WiiWare service. Gradius V was well received upon initial release, with critics praising its old school appeal while criticizing its difficulty and reliance upon genre conventions.

We will tell you more as this continues to develop. You can see the new rating for Gradius V here.

About Jeff Neuenschwander

Jeff has been a supporter of the website and campaign since the beginning. Joining in for E3 2012, he worked his way up the ranks quickly, making it to the Editing Manager post at the beginning of 2013. Jeff has a wide variety of tastes when it comes to gaming and pretty much likes anything that is quirky, although his favorite genres are Action, Platforming, and RPG. Outside of gaming, Jeff is a musician, being trained as a trombonist for Jazz and Classical music, and holds a degree in Sound Recording.

  • PS3 huh?
Probably just a PS2 classic but would be better to see Treasure remaster it.

    Casuals. Gradius 1 was harder.
