River City Ransom: Underground
Because the world needs more retro masterpieces!

So I know many of you reading the title right now have probably read up on River City Ransom: Underground, as it’s been on Kickstarter for a few weeks now and has been ably covered by our own Guy Rainey. So you can see how epic-looking a Kickstarter it is. What you may not be aware of is how desperately short on time the campaign is right now. The good news is, the game is mostly funded, sitting pretty at almost $123,000 (CAD) out of the required $180,000 goal. The bad news is, they only have a little over a week to get that last chunk of change.

So much spirit, just in these pictures.

If you’re sitting on the fence about it, then maybe some of the exciting stretch goals will loosen up your wallet. If they get to $205,000, then the game will be available for Mac OS and Linux. Reaching $280,000 will get it on the PS4 and Vita; $320,000 will get it on the Wii U and 3DS; $360,000 will get it on the Xbox One; and if it reaches the lofty summit of $390,000, it will be available for the PS3.

I can barely withhold my excitement for the prospect of playing this online with friends. Even better, you can get the game experience for only $15 CAD. I cannot stress how exciting the prospect of this game is, not only for old fans, but for new gamers who want an immersive, multiplayer slug fest to enjoy. But if you want it to be a reality, you need to act right now!
