Tales of Xillia 2 - Ludger Kresnik | Tales of Zestiria US Trademark

Following the trademarking spree that saw the Namco Bandai trademark the title Tales of Zestiria in Japan and Europe, the same title has now been trademarked in the United States.

It is unknown why this title has been trademarked by Namco Bandai, as no Tales of Zestiria has been officially announced. Some are speculating that this might be the next mainline Tales title following Tales of Xillia 2.

For now, we will just have to wait and see how this story develops. We may get an official announcement at the Tokyo Game Show as it continues on to next week.

Many titles in the Tales franchise are available on Amazon:

A writer at Operation Rainfall, a lover of videogames, and an insomniac who can't tell what day it is. There really isn't much else interesting to say, except that I've eaten an entire box of ramen noodles in one sitting.

Hm… could this be the “one more PS3 game” we’ve heard some about?

    Or something entirely different? Hm…

  • Ace

    It’s a mobile game.

    • Bec66

It can’t be another mobile game is already in development.

  • jonoepic69

nahh its not a mobile game your thinking of tales of links

  • Stealth

    I hope its on 3ds

  • davidvinc

I hope this is a sign that Tales is doing well in the west and we may see Rebirth/DestinyR/Destiny2 on the PSN and Hearts/Innocence on the Vita.

I wouldn’t hold my breath for Rebirth or Destiny at this point – they’re a little bit too old for them to justify localizing and putting out, especially since they’re on older platforms now. That said, a Vita remake would not be out of the question and yeah I believe I’d be over the moon for that noise.

  • Coarse

    I am zestfully interested.

This doesn’t mean much. IIRC previous Tales games that were never localized still got trademarked over here.

    • Tara

Yep, pretty much this. I think there were trademarks for all of the games that didn’t get localized, in fact. Even “Eternia” got trademarked when the PSP version was released… and of course Rebirth.

Makes me think of the soap.
