Talk about out of nowhere. Nintendo decided to skyrocket to the tops of everyone’s minds by not only confirming a Wii U price drop and a brand new Zelda Bundle featuring Hyrule Historia and announcing a new Nintendo 2DS system, but they also revealed their entire holiday line-up in one fell swoop. Here’s the dates you’ve been waiting for, starting with the Wii U first:

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
December 6th

Wii Fit U

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games
Holiday 2013

And just in case you were curious, here’s a confirmation of the release dates for several of Nintendo’s third party releases for Wii U coming throughout the fall and winter of 2013.

All right; that settles it. By December or so, the Wii U should have a wealth of games for everyone to play. Next up, the Nintendo 3DS. Here’s what to expect and when:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
November 22nd

Mario Party: Island Tour
November 22nd

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

Skylanders SWAP Force

Which game of the many are you anticipating the most? I’ve taken the liberty of linking to all the games we got the chance to play at E3 2013 up above; be sure to take a look. And does anyone notice that a lot is releasing simultaneously on November 22nd? Wow. Do sound off in the comments below about all the craziness Nintendo has thrown our way this afternoon. More information as we have it, folks!

And yet no “X” release date. Sigh. xD

Did u actually expect it this year?

This holiday season is shaping to be a good year for Nintendo fans. One thing that I wish Nintendo and the their party game companies would do is allow discounts if you buy the newer games digitally on the eShop. For example, if I buy Assassin’s Creed 4 then I get thirty-percent off of AC3 for the Wii U. The same would go for Rayman Legends and Zombie U; or Splinter Cell Blacklist and Watchdogs. What this would equate to is a Steam style discount sale offer for a limited time during the holiday seasons.

It’s one fell sweep, did you even try to go to school?

    • Jeff Neuenschwander

No such thing as one fell sweep.

I know, but Xenoblade is just so quotable!

  • James Best

    It’s so good!
