Leading the way in this week’s Media Create charts is Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. The latest game in the Mario & Luigi RPG series released to just under 100,000 units sold for Japan. The game has already released in the PAL regions, hitting 3rd both weeks it has been available. The game releases in North America on August 11.
For the rest of the Top 5: Youkai Watch holds its spot with 29,102 units sold. Last week’s number 1, Pikmin 3, drops to 3rd with 28,513 units sold, a 69% drop from last week. The other new game in the Top 5 is Little Battlers eXperience W: Ultra Custom. The game is the latest in the Little Battlers RPG series. Rounding out the Top 5 is Tomodachi Collection: New Life with 26,799 units sold.
Elsewhere on the list, Toukiden continues to sell for both the PSP and Vita ports. The Vita port is making up about 61% of the sales for the game with almost 200,000 units sold. Danganronpa continues to rise up the charts with an increase of 6% with 6,447. And unfortunately, we say goodbye to Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky as it drops out of the Top 20. Hopefully, this isn’t the last that we hear of the game.
Finally, the Wii U has reached its first milestone. After seven and a half months, the Wii U has surpassed 1,000,000 units sold in Japan. Hopefully, as games start to release for the system, that second million will come quicker.
