Devil Survivor 2 Characters - oprainfall

Credit is due to UK publisher Ghostlight for all their effort to release Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 in Europe. Previously, we reported that they were exploring a limited online release, and it looks like they found a way to make it happen. However, they’re going to need your help.

This is how it’s going to happen: Ghostlight will release Devil Survivor 2 as an exclusive pre-order in their online store. They will have a minimum quantity of pre-orders in mind. Should the number of pre-orders surpass that minimum within one month, then they will begin to produce copies of the game for release. For an added incentive, they will add your name to the manual as a thank you. Here’s the bad news: If they don’t reach the minimum, then the release gets canceled and everyone who pre-ordered will be refunded.

Ghostlight admits that this is a lot to ask of fans, but anyone can see that they’re really going above and beyond to get this game out. Of course, we here at Oprainfall know full well how hard it is to get a game released in a specific region. There will be more details announced in the next week.

Ghostlight is also looking to hear from you if you have any feedback or questions, so leave a comment on their blog post and tell them what you think. And don’t forget to let us know what you think as well by leaving a comment below.

About Eric Chetkauskas

Eric has been playing video games for longer than he can remember. His interests skew toward retro games with an emphasis on Japanese RPGs like Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest series.

  • John Ellis

God being a SNT in Europe must be hard, when the publishers have to beg fans to do stuff like this just to get it. While in America Atlus make absolutely sure the game comes out.

  • Alena Ipatyeva

It’s not even a SMT game, so I don’t really care.
