There’s not a whole lot of content in this week’s Nintendo Download. The Wii U gets a few games for its Virtual Console in the form of Spelunker for the NES ($4.99), Yoshi for the NES, and Sengoku 3 for the Neo Geo on the Wii’s Virtual Console (900 points). Yoshi is currently available for $.30 as part of the Famicom 30th Anniversary promotion, though it’ll stay that way for about a month. Trine 2: Director’s Cut is also available for a reduced price of $9.99 from now until June 27th.
The 3DS isn’t getting a whole lot more content either. Although, that’s sort of alright in this case, as we’re getting Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the eShop for $34.99. I’d normally be upset about this, but considering that this is the week before E3 and that Animal Crossing is a pretty hefty game, I don’t mind too much.

Virtual Console on Wii U™
Yoshi – Originally released on the Game Boy system in 1992, Yoshi™ is an action/puzzle game starring Mario™ and Yoshi. Yoshi has been trapped in an egg, and it’s up to Mario to save his friend, while also stopping an airborne invasion of enemies. As the Goombas, Bloopers and Boo Buddies fall from the sky, Mario must catch them on trays and stack pairs of two of a kind before the piles get too high. Match multiple pairs, raise your score and help Yoshi escape. Available to download on June 12, Yoshi is the sixth game released on the Virtual Console for the Wii U system to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Famicom. For a limited time, the game will be available for only 30 cents.
Spelunker™ – Spelunker is the weakest action hero in the history of video games whose colossal spirit for adventure is countered only by his miniscule threshold for pain. Wander through miles of uncharted caves in search of the legendary underground pyramid and its vast treasures. But beware of the scalding steam vents, poisonous bats and the avenging spirits of dead spelunkers that lurk in every corner of this massive underground labyrinth.

Nintendo adds new titles weekly to the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U system as well as the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems, to the Nintendo DSi™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and to the Wii™ Shop Channel for the Wii console.
The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service and features games, applications and videos. Users can add money to their account balance by using a credit card or by purchasing a Nintendo Prepaid Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card. All funds from one card must be redeemed in either the Wii U eShop or the Nintendo 3DS eShop, respectively. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.
The Wii Shop Channel offers games and applications and uses Wii Points™, which can be purchased via the Wii Shop Channel.
