Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl Cover

Among the slew of character trailers by Atlus as of late, they have released a new one for Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl. This trailer features Frederica Irving, the party’s amnesiac gunner, who is voiced by Mariya Ise (Elle Mel Marta in Tales of Xillia II, Stocking in Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt). Frederica is the game’s “Millennium Girl” and stands on the front cover of the game’s box art.

Although it’s just speculation, Frederica seems to have a childlike state of mind, probably due to her loss of memory; this seems apparent at the end of the trailer during a conversation between herself and Simon. In battle however, she appears to have a combative nature in trying to keep herself and the party alive.

You can check out the video below:

As a gunner, Frederica has unique capabilities when dealing with enemies. While Racoona, the paladin, inflicts little damage against a flying enemy, Frederica takes it down with her high accuracy, making her marksmanship very useful. She can also blind enemies with her gunshots, which can turn the tide of battle when facing off against powerful foes, or F.O.E’s, like the dragon in the trailer (which is not recommended unless you know what you’re doing). Frederica can also heal herself when attacking enemies.

Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl for the Nintendo 3DS is due in Japan this summer on June 27th.
