An excellent 16-bit musical score, near perfect level design, and a tight mix of action and platforming; does the list ring any bells? Well, if you grew up during the Super Nintendo era of gaming, there was a plethora of titles that would fit that exact description. However, there was one title that separated itself from the bunch, and was a huge leap forward when compared to its predecessors. The game that I so passionately speak of  is Capcom’s Mega Man X.

While the X series had plenty more classics as time went on, you always remember your first, and that is just what Capcom wants to do. Mark May 30 on your calendar, folks, because that’s when Mega Man X is coming to the Wii U eShop in the US. If you haven’t experienced this title in the Blue Bomber’s catalog, I would strongly recommend it.

Now, if you’re on the fence about this title, and just need a little push before you start trying your darnedest to shove those dollar bills through your Wii U GamePad, Nintendo released a trailer for Mega Man X to show you what to expect:

Surely you’re sold now, yes? Good. On a side note, maybe this will be the start of regularly released Mega Man X titles for the Wii U, and if that is the case, then boy, we are in for a treat.
