Nintendo’s The Mysterious Murasame Castle (Nazo no Murasame Jō ) is finally going to see release outside of Japan. The game, which was originally released in 1986, was one of the early titles for the Famicom Disk System. Although the game has never been released overseas, people may recognize the game’s main character, Takamaru, as he is a playable character in Samurai Warriors 3. Additionally, the Takamaru’s Ninja Castle minigame in Nintendo Land is based on The Mysterious Murasame Castle.

Nintendo filed for a rating for the game in Australia’s Classification Board, confirming that the game is soon to see a Western release after over 25 years. Whether this will be a digital import or a remake is unclear, nor is its intended platform.
