Nintendo Direct

Despite the fact that E3 is less than two months away, Nintendo maintains its steady stream of reveals and new information through Nintendo Direct presentations. Today, we have confirmation that the 3DS will be the focus of the next Nintendo Direct, as well the date and time the live-stream will be broadcast.

The North American presentation begins April 17, at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET, while a European version of the event will start at 3 p.m. UK time on the same day.

Exactly what will be shown during this Nintendo Direct is unknown, but it is likely Nintendo will show off Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D ahead of their releases in the coming months. Of course, there are several high-profile 3DS exclusives that have yet to be announced for localization in the West, and this could be Nintendo’s chance to reveal them and give them time to shine prior to the hustle and bustle of E3.

Let us know your expectations for this Nintendo Direct in the comments down below, and don’t forget to check back on Wednesday for all the details from the event.
