Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods

When you hear the name Dragon Ball Z, you may recall the days when you were young and all you ever wanted to watch was that show. Fans consider the series one of the best fighting anime ever made, with its epic fights and memorable cast of characters.

On March 30, the latest Dragon Ball Z movie, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, will debut in Japan. Recently, some new footage involving Vegeta aired on the Japanese TV show Mezamashi Terebi. To be honest, as a longtime fan, I felt the content of the video was a bit weird. Basically, Vegeta starts off dodging lasers, then breaks into a silly song-and-dance number while making strange faces at the camera.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set after the Majin Buu Saga and is centered around a new character, Birusu the god of destruction, along with his attendant Uisu. Akira Toriyama had a role in the movie’s story and art.

  • Well, I’m confused, but hopefully it turns out good.

This film takes place after the Majin Boo fight, but before the Tenka’ichi Budokai at the end of Z. It’s the first new movie in 17 years and is a whole new entry in the epic story of Dragon Ball. It looks to be the biggest in scope movie in the series and certainly seems like quite the meaty installment. If it’s not apparent, I’m more than a little excited. 🙂

  • Vegeta singing? wtf

  • NinjaApe

I hope it’s a lot better than the other Dragon Ball Z movies. They were just an excuse to have a mediocre fight against some random villain. Wrath of the Dragons is the only one that satisfied me since it cared about its story.
