BIT.TRIP Saga (3DS) and BIT.TRIP Complete (Wii) are both 76% off on amazon.com right now, dropping their prices from $39.99 to $9.78. Each of these games contain the six core BIT.TRIP titles: BEAT, CORE, VOID, RUNNER, FATE and FLUX. That’s six games for ten bucks! Woah.
BIT.TRIP BEAT is a rhythm game in which you play as a sliding block on the left side of the screen and must deflect the beats headed at you from the right. Sound simple? It is, in concept only. Check out a gameplay video here.
BIT.TRIP CORE continues on after BEAT. Now you are in the ship called CORE. The gameplay is similar to BEAT in that you must block the beats to create rhythm, but it’s now in a two-dimensional format. Beats come at you from all angles and you must stop them by powering blockades from the center of the screen, up, down, left or right. Check out the trailer here for gameplay.
BIT.TRIP VOID makes you a blob of black pixels. All you need to do is collect the black beats that fly around the screen and avoid the white ones. The more black beats you collect, the bigger you get. Of course, the bigger you are the harder it’ll be to avoid the white beats… Check out the gameplay here.
BIT.TRIP RUNNER places you in control of CommanderVideo planet-side. He run steadily from left to right and it’s your job to jump, slide, kick and block to get him to the end of the level. Like with the other titles, simple ideas translate into addicting and challenging gameplay. Take a look here.
BIT.TRIP FATE takes CommanderVideo off the ground in the on-rails shooter. Navigate CommanderVideo through the level on a set path, all the while avoiding projectiles and destroying enemies. Check out the gameplay here in this trailer.
BIT.TRIP FLUX is like an advanced version of BEAT. The gameplay closely resembles that of BEAT, but it also contains elements from the other four games. Check out the trailer here.
