Rainbow Moon

When the old school SRPG/JRPG hybrid Rainbow Moon was released on PSN last year, the developers promised that a PS Vita version was in the works. Today, the developer, SideQuest Studios, posted a demonstration of the game running on a PS Vita to their YouTube channel. It’s still a work in progress, and a lot of features are missing from the early build, like sound, online play, video playback and the ability to save. But the game does run at a smooth 60 frames per second, and SideQuest claims that they didn’t sacrifice load times in the process either.

All in all, it’s another solid addition to the slowly growing Vita library. It’s a little hard to tell perfectly from the video, but the graphics look like they’ll be rather pretty on the Vita’s beautiful OLED screen. We should see this one hit PSN sometime in the near future, although exactly when remains to be seen. In the meantime, the PS3 version is available on PSN for $14.99.
