Omega Force has offered up some tantalizing new screen shots for their upcoming beat ’em up game, Dynasty Warriors 8. The screenshots show off some battle scenes as well as characters you will find in the game. The Dynasty Warriors series is based off an ancient Chinese writer named Luo Guanzhong, who wrote the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This game is the 8th installment in this series, and it will be getting some new features as well.

New features include:

  • Stages will offer more freedom
  • You will be able to choose between various characters
  • 3 musou attacks
  • Weapon types will include affinities to the elements
  • Co-op story mode
  • Free mode returns

Dynasty Warriors 8 will be available in Japan on February 28th, 2013 for the PlayStation 3.

Is Dynasty Warriors 8 a game you would like to see available in North America? This series has a long history of coming West, so we may be in luck one day and have the chance to play it. Dynasty Warriors 8 looks pretty good to me, and the additional features in this installment look like they will add a lot of fun to the gameplay.
