Sega has not announced anything official for 7th Dragon 2020 3rd Encount as of yet but they have registered the trademark and logo in Japan. Sega who is known not only for their Sonic the Hedgehog series but also such games as Valkyria Chronicles, Resonance of Fate, Super Monkey Ball and Virtua Fighter offer a wide variety of games to chose from. It looks like they may have yet another game available with this 7th Dragon installation. We are waiting for further details and official news. For now we are hearing rumors that this game will pick up where the PSP game left off, making it the 3rd entry in the series if this were true.  But our knowledge of this announcement is little and it is unclear if it’s really a new entry or an enhanced port, maybe even a remake at this point.

7th Dragon 2020

7th Dragon came out in Japan in 2009 for the Nintendo DS.  Placed in the world of Eden which is mainly ruled by dragons, your job is to take control of the world back and save the day.  Its sequel 7th Dragon 2020, which was released on the PSP in Japan on November 23, 2011, offered 2 new classes to the already existing 4 from the first game.

We will keep you updated should new information come to surface.

A teaser site has been opened for Sega’s 7th Dragon 2020 Third Encount.
