Nintendo Download

Nintendo’s giving us a good amount of content in this week’s Nintendo Download. For those of you who haven’t purchased Cave Story yet (presumably all five of you), the game has just been released on the eShop for $9.99. You can check out Jonathan Higgins’ review of the multiple versions of Cave Story here. For the Virtual Console, Dr. Mario for the Game Boy is now available for $3.99. For Pokemon fans, Pokemon Dream Radar will be available this Sunday for $2.99, the same day that Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 will be available. In addition, Nintendo has released the first wave of DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2. There are three new course packs for the game’s Coin Rush mode available for $2.50 a piece.

Also, Nintendo is starting a new eShop promotion this week. If you buy the digital version of some select Nintendo retail titles, you’ll receive Donkey Kong: Original Version for free, which includes content that’s never been released in the U.S. before. The first games to be part of this promotion, Crosswords Plus and Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone, have been released this week for $29.99 each through the eShop. Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask are also part of this promotion. They’ll be available in November of this year. You can check out the full details of the promotion here.

Other games that are now available this week include Samurai G for the eShop ($1.99), Acadamy: Chess Puzzles for DSiWare ($1.99/200 points), and Drop Zone: Under Fire for WiiWare (500 points).
