On March 29th, Nippon Icchi Software America (NISA) announced that three previous Japan exclusive games were coming to the US.

Legasista has a plot similar to Pandora’s Tower.  A brother, Alto, has a sick sister.  He must journey through the Ivory tower in order to save her.  That is where the similarities end.  The brother has a team that includes living weapons, a dragon girl, and a witch.  You can also create your own characters.  Jobs, classes, and stats are fully customizable.  There is a character creater and you can import images.  You can switch characters in the middle of battle and, finally, the game is a top down, sprite based, dungeon crawler with hints of a “mystery dungeon” style programming. (This means that each room is randomized.)  It will release on the PSN.

Mugen Hearts is a turn based battler.  There is a universe with seven worlds.  One day, someone declares herself the “undisputed goddess” and wants to control all seven worlds.  The inhabitants won’t let this happen and a rather colorful and crazy war breaks out. This war includes slicing worlds into Kanji and turning Sephiroth’s Super Nova attack but with a giant pink planet with a cat face.  This appears to be released on the PS3.

Finally, there is “The Witch and One Hundred Knights”.  Not much is known, since it has yet to release in Japan, but the game follows the evil swamp witch and her attempt to turn an area into Swamp. She finds a Dark Knight, and he and his knights  go off to fight for her.  It is not known if it will release on the PSN or the PS3.

NISA has listened and it looks like we have three fantastic games coming up.  Have fun!
