Dennis Dyack from Silicon Knights  had this to say in a recent interview with gamesindustry.biz: “We’re really excited and we’re working on our next generation stuff. We’re working on an IP that’s our most requested and we’re really excited about that.”

Gamesindustry.biz speculates that Dennis Dyack was indeed talking about an Eternal Darkness sequel especially since Dennis Dyack has talked favorably in the past about making a sequel and recognized the fan interest in the game.

  • /imagines sanity effects on the Wii U controller…. :F

  • Silicon Knights haven’t had a good record on games lately.  Both X-Men Destiny and Too Human have flopped.  If they do make Eternal Darkness 2, they’ll need to step up their game.  Perhaps if it is a console exclusive that has financial backing of someone like Nintendo or Sony it might work out.

They just need to go back to the basics. Find that old magic I think.

    •  the only problem with that is they need to make sure the combat isnt clunky as heck. that will turn off ANY gamer if the combat is clunky and rubbish
