Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Famitsu Scan 1

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Famitsu Scan 1

Marvelous AQL has released more information in Famitsu magazine about their upcoming third entry in the Senran Kagura series of beat ‘em up games: Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus: Shōjo-tachi no Shōmei (“Young Girl’s Proof”) for the Playstation Vita. Like its predecessors, Shinovi Versus will have plenty of female ninja fighting goodness sprinkled liberally with fan service: think Code of Princess meets Ikki Tousen.

Shinovi Versus will feature 20 playable characters (up from the original’s five), three dimensional playing fields, four player Wi-Fi battling, and—for the first time—complete costume destruction.  While the previous titles were 3DS exclusives and never localized outside of Japan, Shinovi Versus will be playable outside of Japan due to it being on the region-free Vita.  The game releases February 28th, 2013 in both a regular and special deluxe edition featuring five figurines (the original 3Ds cast: Asuka, Ikaruga, Katsuragi, Yagyuu, and Hibari), special illustrations, a soundtrack CD, a drama CD, and more.  While there is no news on localization for any of these titles, the Vita will provide a chance for players to scratch their boob ‘em up beat ‘em up itch with an import copy.

Speaking of watching cute girls with large assets beat each other up while losing their clothes: head over to Funimation and check out Ikki Tousen, Sekirei, Freezing, and more.  Sporting taglines like “the boobs are back” and “the dress code is about to get violated” these series play up their fan service content.  Don’t worry though; there is actual story substance underneath all that physics defying flayed cotton.  Watch them while playing the upcoming Code of Princess (releasing October 9th) and imagine your very own Senran Kagura style game.
