Ubisoft, what a roller coaster of emotions you provide for Wii U owners!
A leaked EB Games upcoming release list seems to point to a Wii U release for a couple of high profile multi-platform titles from Ubisoft. These titles being Watch Dogs and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots. If true, this news would certainly be a boon for the Wii U. This is especially true following less than stellar news of late. Speaking of less than stellar news, this list still has Rayman Legends set for a February 26th release, so a good dose of skepticism may be warranted.
On a side note, the listing also shows Pikmin 3 as having a release date of May 1st.
Watch Dogs is the latest open-world title from Ubisoft Montreal. It is set for release sometime this year. Rainbow 6: Patriots is the latest game to be based on the works of author Tom Clancy. It is also set for release some time in 2013, and it is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal with additional development by Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm.
With the announcement of a 3DS and Wii U focused Nintendo Direct announced for tomorrow, is it possible that we might be seeing some third-party announcements? Well, we can always hope, but, as always, it’s best to remain skeptical. We’ll just have to wait for some concrete announcements (hopefully) in the future.
