What an interesting way to start off the week, and by Mistwalker no less. Recently the fabled company posted new art on their website and Facebook, seemingly teasing a new game, in what many consider it be a sequel to either The Last Story or Lost Odyssey. Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble or just simply being a kill joy, but this could actually be nothing at all!
This art, along with a few others revealed nearly a year before, are not actually new nor are they any indication of a new IP or sequel in the works. They are preparatory sketches for The Last Story, which was originally called The Last World. So the big question is, why now? Why would Mistwalker post old art work out of the blue? Could it really be a new game or a sequel to either of the aforementioned games? Who knows. My advice: just don’t get too excited and get your hopes up high or you may just be in store for disappointment. Wait for Mistwalker to announce something; even if it’s an iOS game.
