Recently on their Prinny Bomb newsletter, NIS America has announced that they will be taking the publishing duties for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl for Europe, which was localized and published for North America by Atlus’ US branch. No official release date, outside of targeting next year in 2014. It comes to no surprise, considering NIS America published the fourth entry and a few other titles in the PAL region for Atlus in the past.
Etrian Odyssey Untold is a re-imagining and a remake of the first title, which was released on the Nintendo DS back in 2007 in Japan and North America, and in 2008 for the PAL region. This time, it has two modes, Classic and Story. Classic acts as the standard fare for the series while story mode brings an all new addition for those wanting an actual narrative to speak of, cutscenes, voice acting, and preset characters with depth. So for fans of the series and players who wanted more than just dungeon crawling with an expansive story, both get what they desire with this entry.
Etrian Odyssey Untold is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive. The game was released in Japan back in June of this year and earlier this month in North America. Hopefully, fans in the PAL region won’t have to wait too long.
