Tecmo Koei have announced that they will be working together with Nintendo to create a new entry in the Fatal Frame series, which will be for the Wii U. Neither a title nor a release date have been announced.
However, more than just a new game was announced.
The man who brought us Multiple Personality Detective Psycho and The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service, Eiji Ōtsuka, will be writing an original novel for the franchise. This novel is due to release in August this year.
Shin Kibayashi, also known under the penname he shares with his sister, Tadashi Yagi, will be writing an original comic series for the franchise. There’s no word on what this will be about, or when it will release.
Finally, a live-action film from Kadokawa Corporation has been confirmed to be in the works. Japanese models Ayami Nakajo and Aoi Morikawa will be the stars, with Mari Asato sitting in the director’s chair. These guys have had a hand in publishing a staggering amount of manga, anime and films in Japan.
