A little bit of a decline in the Media Create charts from last week, but there weren’t as many new games released last week. As a matter of fact, the only console to see an increase this week was the Wii U. To make things more odd with that stat, there were no Wii U games that made the Top 20. It’s good to see positive changes in the new console as it closes in on 1 million units sold in Japan.

For the games, two new games premiered this week. Earth Defense Force 2025 was the big winner this week, coming in first with the PS3 port at 154,689 units sold. The Xbox 360 version also made the Top 10 with 23,371 units sold. The other new game this week was Toriko: Gourmet Battle! for the 3DS, opening at 13,315 units sold.

For returning games, Toukiden continues to sell well as the Vita and PSP versions combine for over 76,000 units sold (Vita version selling 43,315 for 2nd place, PSP selling 33,126 for 3rd). Last week’s top-selling game, Gundam Breaker, dropped to 4th with 32,030 units sold, an 84% drop from last week. Rounding out the Top 5 is Nintendo’s Tomodachi Collection: New Life with 31,996.

Other games of note—Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl sold 12,765 for an overall total of 101,044. Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky dropped to 13th with 10,292 for an overall total of 67,842. And in a bit of a surprise, the PSP The Best version of Danganronpa broke into the Top 20 with 3,660 units sold. This is significant, since this game will not only be remastered for the Vita, but had the remaster announced for localization in the West by NIS America.
