From hit manga to hit anime, now to hit video game- the series called Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic has started to become a blockbuster franchise in Japan. Now the 3DS title Maji: Hajimari no Meikyu is getting an update, and a sequel called Magi: Aratanaru Sekai has been announced just as the anime is about to continue on to a new season.
As seen in the first half of the trailer, the update is quite large, as multiple characters, a new labyrinth, and a few full-voiced parallel story events are being added to the game. The new characters being added are Ja’far, Masrur, Hakuei Ren and Kougyoku Ren. This update for Maji: Hajimari no Meikyu will be available for download on October 2nd.
The second part of the trailer shows the new Magi: Aratanaru Sekai video game for the 3DS. The game apparently will have new labyrinths, an all new story, and a plot about a dark power that can destroy the world. Namco Bandai Games will be releasing the sequel next spring.

Maji: Hajimari no Meikyu and Magi: Aratanaru Sekai give players control of the franchise’s many popular characters, who embark on a quest inspired by the tale One Thousand and One Nights (also known as Arabian Nights).
