You know how Nintendo gives out free rewards to Club Nintendo members at the end of June? Well, this year, that’s not the only thing they’re doing with Club Nintendo.
It’s been reported that several games that have Club Nintendo coin vouchers will have their coin values changed. This is on a game-by-game basis, too. Some games will decrease in value, like the 3D Classics, some third-party retail titles, and several eShop games. However, other games will actually increase in value, including the nintendogs + cats games, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Tales of the Abyss, Resident Evil: Revelations, and the recently released Mario Tennis Open. It looks like the value change will also apply to any eShop and retail games in the future, too.
It kinda sucks that the eShop titles are worth less Club Nintendo coins now, but I’d say that the increase in coin value for retail titles is a fair trade-off. Besides, if you’re like me and you tend to wait until after the end of June to redeem coin vouchers for several of retail your games, now you’ve got even more reason to do so.
