This seems to be the week for exciting Bullet Hell-related news. It has been recently announced that a new vertical SHMUP, developed by G-Style and titled Chain Blaster, is headed to the Nintendo eShop in Japan next week. Chain Blaster seems to revolve around blasting enemies, and annihilating entire formations of linked ships, ergo the “chain” in the title. By collecting the destroyed fragments of the enemy ships, you charge up a bar for an Overdrive super attack which freezes the chaos for a few moments. You can control one of two ships, as well, either the Sagittarius or the Orion, for regular or experienced players. No word has been announced yet regarding whether or not this cool-looking title will hit Western shores, but lucky Japanese players can snag it for a mere 700 Yen from the eShop. Take a gander at the following gallery and trailer to see why I’m so excited!
