UPDATE: You can pre-order the Collector’s Edition right now at GameStop! We’ll continue updating as more of these “select retailers” become known, but GameStop seems to be the only place to pre-order right now.
Nintendo announced earlier today via Nintendo Direct that Bravely Default will be releasing in North America on February 7th, 2014. A collector’s edition has also been confirmed for release. “For RPG fans, Bravely Default is one of the most exciting narrative games on the horizon” says Nintendo’s Bill Trinen, and I don’t think there’s a better way to sum it up.
The Nintendo Direct features a segment that goes into detail about Bravely Default‘s battle system and Streetpass features. Trinen explains the Brave and Default components of the battle system and highlights the time altering capabilities that you can unleash with sleep points.
The collector’s edition will contain the game itself, an artbook, 34 AR cards, and an OST CD. This edition will be also be available on February 7th, 2014, at select retailers.
