You’ll have to forgive me for this short introduction of today’s Scattered Showers, I’ve done myself a mischief by fracturing my wrist whilst snowboarding. Far from wanting this to turn into a Cammie Dunaway E3 presentation, I’ll just cut to the chase.
Some video games have intros, some of those intros are awesome, here are some of those awesome intros (my wrist really hurts).
Soul Blade (PSX)
Hands up if you know the lyrics.
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (Multi-platform)
Hands up if you got high just from watching this.
Final Fantasy VIII (PSX)
Hands up if you think this intro could do with more feathers.
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)
Hands up if you lost your shit when you first saw this.
Chuck Rock (Multi-platform)
Hands up if you think this is more of a title screen than an intro.
Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
Hands up if you think Lanky Kong needs his own game.
Sonic CD (Mega CD)
Hands up if you think Justin Bieber should cover this song… anyone?
Suikoden III (PS2)
Hands up if you think there is way too much drama going on.
Tales of the Abyss (PS2/3DS)
Are you tired of putting your hands up?
Katamari Damacy (PS2)
Hands up if you believe that this intro is the answer to all the problems in the world and that Katamari Damacy should officially become a religion.
That’s about all my poor wrist can take for now, I’m off to find some sympathy. What are your favourite video game intros? Let us know below.
