While it was hinted at quietly that Tecmo Koei would eventually publish Atelier Totori Plus for the the West or at least in Australia with a trademark, nothing concrete was stated by them. Little did we realize it would lead to anything, until now that is. Without announcing anything and without warning, Atelier Totori Plus: The Adventurer of Arland is indeed being published by Tecmo Koei. Not only that, it’s available right now on PSN for those hungry for some JRPG action for your Vita! For a limited time, you can grab the game and get the exclusive swimsuits in one pack & DLC bundle; the ‘Angel Swimsuit’ and ‘Devil Bikini’ are included in this package. This offer will last until April 16th, so you better act fast!
While I’m happy that we did get the game – hell nothing wrong with getting more localized games at all – I don’t know about you, but this was just poor handling on part of Tecmo Koei. We don’t even know if it’s the localization that was used for the original Atelier Totori on the PlayStation 3, that was provided by NISA. (Though word on the street says it is and it has the dual audio option the original version had – Thanks go out to the folks at Neogaf) I really hope this isn’t a regular occurrence as it is obviously important that we can inform all of you when a game releases or at least that a game is being localized so you can not only know it exists, but also prepare you in advance if said game interests you. Again, as a fan of the series, I’m happy this happened at all, but this is unacceptable by any publisher. The series deserves better treatment than a stealth release, I know you’re better than that Tecmo Koei.
