A steady stream of videos has been releasing from Gust, for the ever closer release date of the newest installment of the Atelier series, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of Dusk Sky. While the past videos have been for the game’s opening, a teaser trailer, gameplay footage, and even the niconico live broadcast was shared. One of the videos released is a full-length trailer, the standard fare, highlighting the various aspects of the game with flash and flair.
Though I’ve got to say, the trailer does put into perspective the design and art style the in-game and material surrounding the game, like illustrations, and I simply love it. Hidari has done a phenomenal job, given what we have seen so far, giving the game that charm that I notice even non-fans wanting to approach the series because of it (Similar to what happened with the Sasami-san@Ganbaranai light novel series). That speaks volume, and I’m glad they asked her to return after Atelier Ayesha, hopefully we will see more.
The second video is simple gameplay footage that lets us have a glimpse of one of the many events that occur with our two main characters, Escha and Logy. Check out the videos below, and if you’re interested in some of the music from the soundtrack, check here to hear some samples.
Atelier Escha & Logy will arrive in Japan on June 27, exclusive to the PlayStation 3. And, like the previous games, Atelier Escha & Logy will have its own additional special release, with the Premium Box Set. It will contain the game, of course, and a “pure crystal film frame”; to be honest, that is a paltry amount of goodies, especially for 10,290 yen (Over $100 USD). Hopefully we will see a surprise western release announcement from Tecmo Koei soon, with NISA doing the localization work like always.
