ABOUT OPRAINFALL

Here at oprainfall, we are a group of fans who are passionate about games. We love Japanese and niche gaming culture, and spreading the word about good games that deserve a bit more of the spotlight. We started off as a localization campaign called Operation Rainfall, to promote localization of a few Nintendo JRPG games, from there we grew into a decent-sized fan-following on Facebook, and now we have this website.

Our campaigning days are behind us, and even though we kept part of the campaign name, we are now only this website. This website was built by fans for the niche gaming community. Stick around and check out the site, or contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Steve Baltimore (Seeker of truth and leader of JUSTICE!)

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem “pure ecchi.” He loves niche games and anime more than anything… well, except maybe Neptune.

Crystal Colwell (Human Resources) – Crystal is a diverse and crazy gamer girl who can be found playing all types of games. When she first got involved in the Operation Rainfall Campaign, she volunteered to help out with anything that needed to be done. That was clearly a bad idea since she ended up doing a little bit of everything. She still does as a site co-owner, and loves every second of it.

Justin Guillou (Anime Manager) – Justin joined Operation Rainfall after visiting the site numerous times and reading the articles on Xenoblade Chronicles. He enjoys searching for and collecting some of the more obscure video games out there.

Dalton McClain – A gamer at heart, and a creator by trade. As a shy kid who grew up in a small town, my only solace was with the games that I enjoyed playing. That being said I enjoy just about every type of game, but more than anything I love playing horror/unique games. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the strange and unusual with the world.

Patrick Aguda (Head Editor) – Patrick Aguda is a Mechanical Engineering student and an avid fan of both video games and anime. He has been a fan of anime since his older sister introduced him to the genre when he was in Pre-K. He grew up watching shows like Cardcaptor Sakura, Digimon Adventure, Gundam Wing, Dragon Ball Z, Tenchi Muyo and Rurouni Kenshin. His favorite anime of all time is Code Geass. His favorite games include Persona 3 Portable, Steambot Chronicles and the .hack//G.U. trilogy. He is very fond of Sinon (Asada Shino).

Jenae R. (QA Editor) – Jenae is an RPG enthusiast who enjoys cats, humidity-free warm weather, Dean Koontz books and a select handful of non RPG series and games. Two of her all-time favorite games are the original Shadow Hearts and Final Fantasy IX. She loves to ramble on about her numerous gaming opinions and is fortunate enough to be able to do it here at oprainfall.

Jason Quinn – Been playing video games since before I could form coherent sentences. I love a wide variety of games, from fast, technical action games to slow RPGs. Aside from video games, I have a love of music, film, and anime.

Aaron is a lifelong video games enthusiast who’s been playing since the days of the NES. He enjoys just about all types of games from RPGs, to platformers, to strategy. He also fancies himself a bit of a writer so writing about video games makes sense, right?

Drew D. – Drew has been an avid gamer most of his life, favoring single-player campaigns. For him, a worthwhile game is one that immerses you; it envelops you and draws out an array of emotions that produce those memorable moments we live for as gamers.

Marisa Alexander – With a flair of both eccentricity and normalcy. Live in New England, still fresh out of HS. Have enjoyed gaming since before schooling and have signed up for many AP and Honor HS classes in order to succeed in life. Is extraordinarily analytical. opinionated, and caring.

Quentin H. – Likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. And video games. Cannot forget those video games. Anime too. Should not forget that either.

Walter P. – Plays too much, but still has too many games to finish. Will play any type of game and will watch anything, so is of course not good at being productive. Loves anything crazy.

Fabrice Stellaire – Fabrice Stellaire is a french gamer who started playing on an Amstrad CPC that ran tapes. He then got one with floppy disks and started playing on a gameboy pocket in 1998. Later, he discovered playstation and playstation 2 games, before moving to PC and 3ds. He likes most of games genres except sports and car games.Among his favourite games are Fallou ,Baldu’sgate, Final Fantasy 8, Vagrant Story or Shin Megami Tensei games.

Diego Hernandez (EVN Manager) – Diego is a huge animation and video game aficionado from a small island in the Caribbean. He hopes his writing gets him places he’d never thought possible.

She enjoys almost every genre of game, with some of her favourites being Final Fantasy Tactics, Shadow of the Colossus, Suikoden II and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Leah lives on the East Coast with her husband and son.
