In case you hadn’t been paying attention, we here at oprainfall are pretty excited for Ackk Studios’ debut title, Two Brothers, and we have covered news about it at some length. From previews to screenshots to interviews, Ackk Studios have done whatever they could to appease excited fans while development continued. Of course, one of the biggest questions that fans always have about just about any game is when it will be released. Well, Ackk has finally come out and announced a street date for their upcoming action-adventure title that redefines the concept of death in video games.
In a recent post on their Facebook page, Ackk officially announced that fans will finally be able to play Two Brothers on Windows or Linux for themselves on October 15th:
After about a year and a half of full time development Two Brothers is nearing it’s completion. We are so thankful for everyone who helped us make this game a reality and we are thrilled that we can finally bring the game to you.
We’ve picked a release date that can ensure that the game is highly polished and not lacking in side quests, secondary characters, and an ending that we believe rivals anything we imagined possible in a game like this.
Ackk went on to talk about how the game will feature “a massive main quest, a huge side story, and an enormous soundtrack of over 90 tracks […]” Aside from this exciting news about the game’s release, Ackk also said that they would be using the time between now and the game’s release to showcase the sprites of those who donated at least $100 during the game’s crowdfunding period. Additionally, backers who gave at least $10 will be receiving copies of the game’s soundtrack in the next few weeks. Ackk also hopes to release the physical bonuses for donators in their appropriate tiers before the game’s release.
In addition to the Windows and Linux releases Two Brothers will also eventually release on PSN, Xbox 360, Wii U and Mac OS.
