Good news for Nintendo fans who will have little money after buying a Wii U. The new system will not implement any features that will prevent the playing of used games.
In a recent interview with GameSpot, Nintendo Executive VP of Sales and Marketing Scott Moffitt was asked about Nintendo’s strategy regarding the used games market. The VP replied that there is nothing to stop used games from playing on the Wii U.
From Moffitt:
It is a reality in the marketplace. We haven’t incorporated any features that will discourage used-game sales at this point. We’re not trying to circumvent that.
The news comes as relief to gamers as fear about the next generation not allowing used games have been running rampant for many months.
