Hot on the heels of the character reveals of Fredrika, Simon, and Arthur, Atlus, once more, showcases a new character from their newest title, Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl. Without much dialogue, a name, or a deep back story, this new character is the player’s own avatar in the world of Etrian Odyssey. He is a protagonist that shares a similar role with other main characters found in classical JRPGs.
His tale starts with him taking a commission by the Etrian government on a simple matter of investigating ruins in their territory, which like many fantasy tales, leads to a far greater adventure. Being a traditional RPG protagonist, his name and personality will be the product of the player’s own choosing. His class will also be that of a Highlander, and his main weapon of choice looks to be a spear.

Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl is a remake of the original Etrian Odyssey on the Nintendo DS, but with more enhanced graphics, voice acting, and other additions to the RPG experience. Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl is due out in Japan for June 27 of this year, exclusively to the 3DS portable. Atlus has still not confirmed if there are any plans to localize the title in the West, so we will have to wait as future developments are released.
