So we have been sharing a lot of good news lately. Unfortunately, with the good, we also get the bad. Today, Sega has announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 will sadly miss its early 2013 PC release in Western regions. As stated in Polygon’s article from a Sega representative at this year’s PAX East:

I can already here the cries of disappointment from many fans of the series. Trust me, I’m also weeping on the inside. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long or even until next year. While the game was released in Japan on the PC almost a year ago. The PlayStation Vita version also came out just last month in Japan; that version hasn’t been announced for localization, unlike the PC version that was announced in July of last year.
We will have updates along the way, for now we will have to continue being patient for that mythical announcement.
